Our work typically involves identifying and analysing structural movement defects and providing precise engineered solutions for all types of bridges (old and new), rail, highways, car parks and buildings (old, new and bespoke). USL Ekspan supply an extensive range of quality structural products, including structural bearings, expansion joints and drainage systems - with fully supported services for comprehensive installation and maintenance from project inception to completion. In addition to bearing and expansion joint installation we also carry out specialist works such as structural jacking and de-jacking, and bespoke fabrication works.

Our depth of knowledge and expertise has enabled us to provide structural solutions for our clients both in the UK and on a worldwide basis.

USL Ekspan provide full turnkey solutions – for supply, installation and maintenance of bearings on link bridges, which connect and carry services between platforms. USL Ekspan have highly skilled and fully trained offshore engineers who regularly visit installations to maintain sliding bearings. Our technical engineers will liaise and engage with platform asset managers, operators, owners and designers to assess bearing functionality and carry out inspections to identify potential structural defects. Annual maintenance schemes are also provided with products - necessary to sustain structural integrity and whole-life care.

USL Ekspan have worked with a broad range of clients both in the UK and worldwide - these include Energy Repsol Sinopec, Talisman Energy, ConocoPhillips, Shell, Nexen Petroleum, Total E&P UK, BP, Gulf Industrial Services Company and Abu Dhabi Marine Operating Company.

Within the renewable energy sector, USL Ekspan provides a bespoke design, fabrication and installation for various wind turbine blade test rigs, component parts, upgrades, maintenance and all associated mechanical engineering requirements. 

Our services within this sector include specialist fabrication; supply, installation and maintenance of industrial bearings and structural components designed specifically for applications requiring articulated support such as large machinery; pipelines; offshore structures; ports and power stations. The work in this sector often involves working in remote locations, harsh conditions and confined spaces.
